From the exhibition press release:

The different languages give life to compositions that generate a subtle border between the image and the imaginary. Each with their own linguistic identity is able to dialogue and face the unpredictable boundary, capturing the observer in the engaging and fascinating connection between the random title and the individual interpretations.

Sublimina

Curated by Anna Isopo with the collaboration of Giorgia Pirone

Presentation by the art historian Martina Scavone

SUBLIMINA is the emblematic title of the exhibition curated by Anna Isopo of Arte Borgo Gallery hosted at the Museo Diocesano S. Matteo in Salerno from 21 May to 3 June.

The Diocesan Museum of S. Matteo of Salerno is undoubtedly the most important container of works of art in the city of Salerno and its province. Its artistic heritage includes works ranging from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century and include ivories, paintings on canvas and wood, goldsmith works and some archaeological finds.

The Sublimina exhibition presents the works of about thirty artists who use art as a tool to evoke subliminal messages in which the fullness of meanings is represented by shapes and colors.

The different languages give life to compositions that generate a subtle border between the image and the imaginary. Each with their own linguistic identity is able to dialogue and face the unpredictable boundary, capturing the observer in the engaging and fascinating connection between the random title and the individual interpretations. Subliminal messages coexist and give the user the key to the poetic character of the individual works.
